Museo Municipal de Costumbres y Tradiciones de Vejer
The Museo Municipal de Tradiciones y Costumbres de Vejer (Municipal Museum of Vejer Customs and Traditions), located on the Convent of Monjas Concepcionistas, hosts an exhibition on the recent history of Vejer. The visitor will discover the lifestyle of the nineteenth century Vejer population, thanks to a collection of tools and utensils related to agriculture and old professions.
Furthermore, visitors can also know about remarkable, traditional costumes, such as ‘la cobijada’ or Vejer craftworks, the evolution of the old huts made of sea clubrush ("paja castañuela"), or live the atmosphere of a traditional pig slaughter.
Hours: From monday to saturday between 10.00 a.m to 02.00 p.m and 04.00 p.m to 06.00 p.m. Closed on Sunday.
Admission fee: 1€ Free admission on Thursday.
